About Health Concerns
Health Concerns is the first company in the U.S. to manufacture Chinese herbs for practitioners, bringing centuries of tradition to the West. By applying modern biochemistry and scientific accuracy to the rich base of Eastern knowledge, Health Concerns has developed uniquely effective formulas. The formulas are manufactured under the strictest quality controls, producing easy-to-take products with consistent potency. During the formulation process and after manufacture, Health Concerns formulas are tested extensively to ensure optimum effectiveness, consistent potency and maximum bioavailability.
Every Health Concerns formula bottle has two bits of information. The first, which generally is a letter followed by four numbers, is the Lot Number. This identifying piece of information allows Health Concerns to track every part of the production process, from all the raw materials that went into the manufacturing, to the extensive testing we do to ensure quality. The second piece of information is what's called a Manufacture Date. Herbs don't truly expire. Over time, they just begin to lose their potency. Most Health Concerns formulas maintain an ideal potency for a full three years after the Manufacture Date (EPAQ and SAMe are best within two years). However, with proper storage and care, they have a longer shelf-life. For this reason, we include the Manufacture Date on every bottle of our products so you know exactly when it was produced.
