Description

The history of tea began in Yunnan, and the tropical climate in the southern part of the province yields a large-leafed carietal. These ancient tea trees have robust but soft leaves,best suited for Puerh tea processing. The added step of allowing the oxidized tea to age gives the finishes tea its earthy notes. There is careful monitoring of air circulation and inspection of the tea during storage,allowing the tea to develope a mellow flavor over time. Puerth tea is often served with cantonese dim-sum meals or with spicy chinese dishes. Puerh yields a deep russet liquor in the cup,and has a smooth round finish.

Suggested Use

IN A CUP – Pour fresh boiling water over teabag in a cup; steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on desired strength.

IN A POT – Warm the teapot by rinsing it with hot water. Place one teabag for each cup in the pot. Pour fresh boiling water over the teabag; steep for 3-5 minutes depending on desired strength.

ICE TEA – Use 6 teabags for each quart of boiling water. Steep in a teapot for 5 minutes. Add sugar if desired. Pour into glasses filled with ice. Oolong tea does not require sugar, milk or lemon.
