Kawai
In 1911, Dr. Kawai Kametaro invented a method for producing a solid and stable emulsion of liver oil. It became the first liver oil preparation in Japan; he named it "MITSUWA liver oil pills" and began manufacturing and marketing the product. In 1943 Kawai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established and has since created additional branches.
