Ingredients
Action: Much more than just Gui Pi Tang, Restore offers herbal extracts that enhance the tonifying effects of this formula to powerfully restore the vital energy of the spleen, stomach, and heart while calming the spirit and quelling anxiety.
Gui Pi Tang is a blend of herbal extracts made to address a common pattern in modern culture. A weak digestive system leads to heart irregularities, anxiety, and mental exhaustion. A person’s unique symptoms can present with some, all, or a unique combination of these three aspects of this pattern.
By adding just four herbs to Gui Pi Tang (Gui Zhi, Sheng Di Huang, Wu Wei Zi and Mai Men Dong) we have brought in heart strengthening elements from Zhi Gan Cao Tang and Sheng Mai San as well as restoring digestive insufficiency with Xiao Jian Zhong Tang. These herbs in our Restore Gui Pi Tang help tonify yin while gently warming yang, without overwhelming the weak spleen to make a powerful formula that addresses the Spleen-Heart-Anxiety triad.
Adding Gui Zhi to traditional Restore Gui Pi Tang enhances its ability to supplement the center by gently warming the digestion and circulation. When Gui Zhi is coupled with Gan Cao and Dang Shen it helps activate Heart Yang to improve circulation and address palpitations and irregular pulse. Gui Zhi can be found coupled with other herbs from Gui Pi Tang in two sister formulas: Zhi Gan Cao Tang, Licorice Decoction, and Xiao Jian Zhong Tang, Minor Supplement the Center.
Small doses of Sheng di Huang, Mai Men Dong, Wu Wei Zi build fluids in the stomach, heart, and lungs and balance some of the drying qi tonics. Wu Wei Zi also helps secure the fluids that are often uncontrolled in qi deficiency, spontaneous sweats, or clammy hands and feet in the anxiety prone people. Together, these herbal extracts can be found combined with other herbs from Restore Gui Pi Tang in Sheng Mai San, Restore the Pulse, and Zhi Gan Cao Tang, Licorice Decoction.
